In today’s fast-changing world, education plays a vital role in shaping the future of our societies. As
technology evolves and learner needs shift, traditional teaching methods often fall short. This is where innovative methodologies step in—enhancing the learning experience and equipping students with the skills to think critically, collaborate effectively, and adapt to new challenges. In the course “Innovative.
Teaching Methods for Teachers, School, and Adult Education Staff”, participants explored modern, learner-centered approaches tailored to their specific contexts and needs.
The new edition of the course took place in Tenerife from 07/07/2025 to 21/07/2025 The participants were coming from Poland : with Lucyna , Daniel , Paweł, Jarosław, Małgorzata Wesołek, Wiktoria, Anna , Alicja and Patrycja  from Zespół Szkół Chemiczno-Medycznych i Ogólnokształcących w Tarnowskich Górach.
Thanks to ongoing research and educational studies, a wide range of tools and approaches are now available to enrich the school environment. Methods such as project-based learning, non-formal education, outdoor education, and the use of ICT offer valuable opportunities to complement and enhance traditional teaching practices.
The course began by highlighting the growing importance of skills like critical thinking, creativity,
communication, and collaboration in today’s educational landscape. Participants explored how innovative teaching methods—such as experiential and inquiry-based learning—can help students develop these key competencies. The session also focused on the evolving role of educators, who are increasingly seen as facilitators and guides, shaping learning environments that inspire curiosity, exploration, and innovation.
The focus shifted to Project-Based Learning (PBL), a methodology that transforms the classroom into a dynamic space for inquiry and problem-solving. Through PBL, students engage in meaningful, extended projects that tackle real-world issues, fostering deeper learning and active involvement. This approach notonly deepens students’ understanding of content but also fosters essential skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and self-management. Participants explored how to design and implement Project-Based Learning (PBL) across diverse educational settings, sharing examples from their own teaching contexts. The goal was to create learning environments where students feel motivated, engaged, and actively involved in their own learning journey, the focus shifted to integrating Information and Communication Technology(ICT) tools into the classroom to boost student engagement. In today’s digital age, traditional lectures can often feel disconnected from students' daily lives. By incorporating tools like interactive presentations,
online quizzes, and educational games, educators can transform their lessons into dynamic, interactive experiences that resonate more deeply with learners.
The course culminated on Friday with a hands-on application of the week’s learning through a city-wide treasure hunt, powered by an ICT tool. This engaging activity demonstrated how outdoor education can be effectively combined with technology to create immersive, real-world learning experiences. By stepping outside the traditional classroom, participants experienced firsthand how students can develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a deeper connection to the material—all while exploring and getting to know the beautiful city of Tenerife.
By the end of the course, participants gained a solid foundation in implementing innovative teaching
methodologies. These approaches are designed not only to better prepare students for the challenges of
the future but also to foster a more dynamic, engaging, and impactful educational environment.
