Italian Ministry of Education Accreditation
Erasmus Learning Academy is officially accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education (Ministero dell’Istruzione e del Merito — MIM) as a recognised provider of teacher training, under Direttiva 170/2016. It’s an independent government guarantee that our courses meet national quality standards.
What the Ministry of Education accreditation means
The Italian Ministry of Education accreditation is a national quality seal awarded under Direttiva 170/2016 to organisations that provide training for school staff. It is granted only to bodies that meet strict requirements on governance, expertise, track record and quality assurance, and it is renewed periodically by the Ministry.
Importantly, ELA holds full national accreditation as a training provider (soggetto accreditato) — not a recognition of single courses. This means the Ministry has assessed and approved ELA as an institution, so all of our teacher training is covered, not just individual programmes.
What it means for you
The accreditation works differently depending on where you teach — here’s what it unlocks.
For Italian school staff
Our courses are officially recognised for the professional development of teachers, headmasters, educators and administrative staff. You can fund them with the bonus docenti (Carta del Docente) and national funds such as PNRR and DM66 — or combine them with Erasmus+.
For international participants
The Ministry of Education accreditation is an extra guarantee of quality: an independent assessment by a national government authority confirming ELA is a recognised teacher training institution, not just a training company. International participants fund their mobility through Erasmus+ (Italian ministerial funds are available only in Italy).
Funding your training
Italian school staff can draw on several national funds thanks to our Ministry of Education accreditation; participants from other countries use Erasmus+.
Carta del Docente
The annual professional-development allowance (bonus docenti) for Italian tenured teachers can be spent with MIM-accredited providers like ELA.
PNRR & DM66
National teacher-training funds for Italian schools under the recovery plan and DM66 — usable for recognised, accredited training.
Erasmus+ KA1
Open to teachers and staff from any eligible country — the route for international participants, backed by our Erasmus+ accreditation.
