Stress and Conflict Management: the way to resilience and satisfaction

Overview

Distress is a prevalent and costly problem in today’s workplace with about one-third of workers reporting high levels of stress.

Excessive work-related stress can have serious behavioral, physical and psychological consequences.

Relations with parents and students, workplace conflicts and deadlines are all potential causes for distress that teachers should learn how to manage.

Target Audience

This course is open to: teachers, headmasters, trainers, educational staff, school and education managers, educational and  career counsellors, other school staff, other adult education staff, other higher education staff, other non-governmental organization staff, public servants, policy makers. 
Please mind that the course may include teachers from different school levels.

The course is held in English.

What will you learn?

Participants will learn how to identify the sources of stress, how to prevent and cope with stressful experiences and how to support students deal with stressful and conflictual situations. Through a practical approach participants will acquire concrete methods and will share best practices that enable them to better manage stress and conflict in their job as well as in their personal lives.

Learning Outcomes

This course allows participants to improve their ability to prevent and manage work-related stress by identifying in advance the main sources as well as testing the best strategies to prevent distress and to manage stressful situations.
The general aim of this course is to foster excellence in education by empowering teachers, trainers, headmasters and other education staff to improve their stress and conflict management skills together with other participants and trainers throughout all Europe gaining as well a broader understanding of education in Europe and exchanging best practices and experiences.

Understanding Stress and Its Impact

Learn about the dynamics, causes, and effects of stress, while gaining insight into personal stress response patterns.

Practical Stress and Conflict Management Tools

Acquire and practice techniques to manage stress and conflict, and apply them to educational situations like bullying or parent-teacher relationships.

Relaxation Techniques and Networking

Learn how to lead relaxation exercises to reduce student anxiety, while exchanging good practices and networking with fellow educators and organizations across Europe.
