The week began on Monday with an introduction to Inovativní výukové metody. Participants explored the latest approaches in education, discussing how traditional, informal and non-formal ways of learning can be blended to create dynamic learning environments. The session set the stage for a hands-on exploration of methods that engage students actively and creatively.
On Tuesday, the focus shifted to formal, informal and non-formal education. Through visual strategies and teambuilding activities, participants discovered the principles of Non-Formal Education. Activities guided them through Kolb’s experiential learning cycle, highlighting how reflection, conceptualization and practical application empower students to take an active role in their learning.
Wednesday was dedicated to Project-Based Learning (PBL). Teachers examined how starting from a central question and exploring real-world problems can deepen student engagement. By analyzing PBL principles, participants experienced firsthand how teamwork, collaboration and creativity help students learn strategically and find solutions independently.
On Thursday, participants engaged with Actionbound, an ICT-based tool, to explore Outdoor Education in an interactive way. The digital treasure hunt encouraged discovery around Palermo while emphasizing experiential learning. During debriefing, the group reflected on the benefits of Vzdělávání v přírodě, including increased motivation, creativity and improved psychophysical well-being through active engagement with the lively city environment.

The week concluded on Friday focusing on Gamifikace and its integration in teaching. Participants experimented with various gaming tools to design lessons, assess learning and engage students interactively like the Battleship game and Charades. The session reinforced how game-based activities can make learning more dynamic and memorable, helping teachers boost motivation and mostly transform classroom experience by bringing fresh approaches into it.
The course ended on a high note, with participants inspired and ready to implement fresh ideas, energy and innovation back to their home schools.
