In today’s classrooms, keeping students interested e engaged can be challenging. Using ICT tools like apps e web platforms is essential for teachers to connect with students and share knowledge effectively. These technologies offer new and exciting ways to make learning interactive and fun, helping to keep students focused and motivated.

A nova edição do curso “Integrar as TIC, as novas tecnologias e as ferramentas de IA no ensino e na educação” took place in Bologna from 19/05/2024 to 25/05/2024. The participants came from all across Europe, with Thomas, Ulrich, Marija, Tobias and Miriam from Bayerischer Volkshochschulverbande.V.in Germany, Savas, Adem, Huseyin, Emrah and Mehmet from Hocacihan Ortaokulu in Turkey, Joost andB jørn from Hønefossvideregående in Norway and Eridiana from MIKC Daugavpils Dizaina un mākslasvidusskola “Saules skola” in Latvia.

​During the course, participants explored a variety of technological tools and learned how to integrate them into their teaching methods. We started with the latest trends in educational technology, focusing on virtual whiteboards and collaborative platforms. Sessões práticas entre as quais se incluíam a transformação dos seus dispositivos em quadros brancos virtuais com elementos otimizados por IA e a utilização de paredes colaborativas para partilhar e guardar ideias.
Participants also practiced designing interactive presentations with real-time audience interaction and using ICT tools for more effective classroom management. They also experimented with creating digital learning group games and AI-driven self-study options. These exercises showed them how these tools can make lessons more cativante e dinâmico.

In addition, they learned to create multimedia content, such as presentations, social media graphics and posters, using AI-powered tools. These activities aim at encouraging students to be more creative. Video presentations were emphasized as a powerful way to capture students’ attention and energize the classroom environment.

Um tema importante do curso foi Inteligência Artificial. O grupo familiarizou-se com o ChatGPT e outras ferramentas baseadas em IA exploradas ao longo da semana, adquirindo conhecimentos sobre os sete elementos de um bom prompt. Através de uma discussão interessante, analisaram todo o potencial, os benefícios, mas também as armadilhas da utilização de Ferramentas de IA without sufficient knowledge of them. 

This course offered participants the chance to exchange experiences and insights, while learning collaboratively. They departed with a lot of new skills in interactive learning and a variety of technological tools to implement in their teaching. These new strategies will undoubtedly enhance students’ creativity, engagement and motivation!
