Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) has emerged as an effective approach that blends language learning with subject-specific education. By learning to integrate ICT, game-based tools, multimedia content development, and engaging hands-on activities, participants are better prepared to encourage linguistic diversity in education and equip students for their roles as active European citizens.<br \/><\/span><\/span><br \/><span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\">A new edition of the course \u201c<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) course for teachers\u201d<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\"> took place in Tenerife from <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">09\/03\/2025 to 15\/03\/2025<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\">. The participants came from all across Europe, with Tatjana Knjaz from <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">Djecji vrtic Petar Pan<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\"> in Croatia, Dagbjort Lauritz Agnarsdottir from <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">Verkmenntask\u00f3linn \u00e1 Akureyri<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\"> in Iceland, Giorgio Jansen and Luigi Pezzotta from <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">ISIS Mamoli<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\">, Bergamo in Italy, Agnese Lorence and Anna Krasko-Krasti\u0146a from <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">Riga Secondary School No. 49<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\"> in Latvia.<br \/>\u200b<\/span><\/span><br \/><span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\">The CLIL course kicked off with an <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">energetic brainstorming session<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\">, encouraging participants to discuss their current practices and prior knowledge of CLIL. This collaborative activity set the stage for a lively exchange of ideas and exploration. The course then moved into a theoretical investigation of <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">CLIL principles<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\">, focusing on the importance of delivering content through a second language. Participants were introduced to useful strategies and techniques for designing engaging and intentional CLIL lessons. Through resource sharing and exchanging experiences, they began drafting their own lesson plans, which would serve as the basis for future tasks.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Further, the course explored how to incorporate engaging texts and videos into CLIL classrooms, <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">harnessing multimedia resources creatively<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\">. Participants examined common ICT tools in education, with a focus on those most relevant to their needs and interests. They had the opportunity to use these tools to create educational games and interactive presentations, effectively incorporating them into their lesson plans.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\">The course also included <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">experiential learning activities<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\"> that enhanced CLIL lessons. Participants discovered strategies to foster <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight:700\">collaboration and peer learning<\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0, 0, 0)\"> in the classroom, promoting language communication around the subject matter.
