The latest edition of the course \u2018\u2019The best for Preschool Teachers\u2019\u2019 took place in Palermo<\/span> from 24\/11\/2024 <\/span>to 30\/11\/2024<\/span>. Educators from across Europe participated, including Ieva Jagminiene, Inga Jakubickiene, Karolina Andraloit, Natalija Stefanoviciene, Inga Balsan <\/span>and Jurate Zolumskiene<\/span> from “Neformalaus ugdymo asociacija “”Abadel\u0117”” <\/span>in Lithuania”<\/span>, Raili Ollo<\/span> from Ruila P\u00f5hikool <\/span>in Estonia<\/span>, Ana Verme\u0161 <\/span>and Marija \u010corak<\/span> from Preschool institution Vjeveric <\/span>in Croatia<\/span>, and Kathrin Groschupp <\/span>from Deutsche Schule Sofia <\/span>in Bulgaria.<\/span><\/font><\/span>\u200b<\/span>

The week began with interactive ice-breaking activities that encouraged participants to share their expectations and experiences while discussing effective preschool teaching practices. This collaborative exchange allowed the teachers to introduce their respective schools, fostering a deeper understanding of preschool education across Europe.

One of the most anticipated parts of the program were the visits to Istituto Minutoli <\/strong>and Istituto Montessori<\/strong> in Palermo<\/strong>. The participants explored captivating exhibitions showcasing the Reggio Emilia approach. They learned about its history, distinctive materials, and projects, gaining insight into what makes this educational philosophy a global benchmark in preschool pedagogy.<\/div>\n
The course also included an exploration of the Montessori method<\/strong>. Through an engaging presentation of authentic Montessori environments and materials, participants delved into the philosophy and practical applications of this approach, pioneered by Maria Montessori in the early 20th century.<\/div>\n
