By adeptly blending\u00a0ICT<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0game-based tools<\/strong>,\u00a0multimedia content creation<\/strong><\/strong>, and\u00a0dynamic experiential activities<\/strong>, educators can better promote\u00a0linguistic diversity\u00a0in education, effectively preparing students for their roles as\u00a0global citizens.
A recent iteration of the “Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) course for teachers<\/strong>” occurred in\u00a0Tenerife<\/strong>\u00a0from 0<\/strong>9\/06\/2024 to 15\/06\/2024<\/strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0Participating educators hailed from\u00a0Germany<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Finland<\/strong>, namely\u00a0Emmi Laitinen, Aline Thomas, Nicole Hafner<\/strong>, and\u00a0Claudia Pfeil<\/strong><\/strong>.
Commencing with a vibrant\u00a0brainstorming session<\/strong>, the\u00a0CLIL course<\/strong>\u00a0encouraged participants to share their existing\u00a0practices<\/strong>\u00a0and prior\u00a0knowledge<\/strong>\u00a0related to\u00a0CLIL<\/strong>, fostering an environment ripe for\u00a0knowledge exchange\u00a0and\u00a0exploration. The course proceeded with a theoretical examination of\u00a0CLIL principles<\/strong>, emphasizing the importance of\u00a0teaching content\u00a0through a\u00a0secondary language. Notably, it underscored the\u00a0teacher’s pivotal role\u00a0in facilitating\u00a0language integration, thereby creating a robust\u00a0learning atmosphere\u00a0conducive to both\u00a0content mastery\u00a0and\u00a0linguistic proficiency.\u00a0Insights\u00a0into effective\u00a0lesson planning\u00a0within the\u00a0CLIL framework\u00a0were provided, equipping participants with valuable\u00a0tips and techniques\u00a0for crafting\u00a0engaging\u00a0and\u00a0purposeful CLIL lessons.<\/div>\n

Furthermore, participants were introduced to experiential learning activities<\/strong> enriching CLIL lessons<\/strong>. Effective strategies<\/strong> to foster collaboration<\/strong> and peer learning<\/strong> were explored, facilitating language communication<\/strong> within the subject matter<\/strong>.
Through hands-on experiences<\/strong>, educators gained insights into cultivating an interactive<\/strong> and immersive learning environment<\/strong>. As the course drew to a close, participants shared their finalized lesson plans<\/strong>, showcasing the integration of newly acquired strategies and activities developed throughout the week.
