In recent years, the shift from traditional face-to-face education to online learning has accelerated. This change has made educators rethink their methods and embrace digital tools. <\/span>New technologies <\/span>have become a powerful way to create fun, interactive, and effective learning experiences, both online and in-person.
\u200b<\/span><\/span>
The most recent training course, \u201c<\/span>Making the Most of New Technologies, Apps, and Social Media in the Classroom<\/span>,\u201d focused on these ideas. Held in Bologna from April 13\/04\/2025 to 19\/04\/2025. The course brought together teachers from various parts of Europe. Participants included Maria Purificaci\u00f3n Mor\u00e1n Huerga and Maria Jes\u00fas Riesco Laso from <\/span>CEIP EL PERAL<\/span> in Spain; Dr. Michael Peter Hoecke and Anja Howaldt from <\/span>VHS Aschaffenburg<\/span> in Germany; Monika Hotanen from <\/span>Omnia<\/span> in Finland; and Barbara Haake and Kathrin Pl\u00fcster from Schule am <\/span>Schloss<\/span> in Germany.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Throughout the week, participants explored new technologies and digital tools designed to enhance both traditional and online teaching. One of the main focuses was <\/span>preparing multimedia content<\/span>, whether to introduce a new subject or to <\/span>sum up an old one<\/span> in a creative and engaging way. Teachers used <\/span>user-friendly photo and video editing tools<\/span> to support these tasks and to create dynamic class materials.

Another key topic was learning how to <\/span>build a website<\/span>, which is especially useful in digital education. Participants developed their own educational websites that could be used for student portfolios, project documentation, or class blogs.<\/span><\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The course also covered <\/span>tools for collecting and sharing resources and content<\/span>, such as videos, images, PDFs, and articles. These platforms help organize and distribute materials efficiently, and they support more interactive learning experiences particularly in <\/span>scientific subjects<\/span> and <\/span>foreign language studies<\/span>.

Teachers were introduced to <\/span>interactive presentation<\/span> tools that encourage student participation. These tools allow teachers to gather real-time feedback by <\/span>submitting polls, creating word clouds<\/span>, and opening discussions that promote student involvement<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

By the end of the course, participants left Bologna with <\/span>new knowledge of interactive learning and new technologies<\/span>. They returned home with a <\/span>new set of tools a<\/span>nd methods that will enrich their lessons and help students become more motivated and engaged in their learning journeys.
