Every classroom is made up of different people, with different identities, experiences, values, and ways of seeing the world. For teachers, recognising these differences is an important part of creating a learning environment where students feel respected, included, and comfortable working with others. These ideas were at the centre of the training course \u201cDiversity in the classroom: teaching tolerance and overcoming prejudices and discrimination,\u201d<\/strong> held in Bologna from 2 to 8 August 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course brought together teachers from four European countries: Janka and Janka from Cirkevn\u00e1 z\u00e1kladn\u00e1 \u0161kola Romualda Zaymusa in \u017dilina, Slovakia; Brigitte from Berufsschulzentrum N\u00fcrnberger Land, Germany; Ra\u00fal from IES \u00c1lvaro Y\u00e1\u00f1ez, Spain; and Enik\u0151 from Gyermekek Haza Alternativ Altalanos Iskola es Gimnazium, Hungary. Their different professional and cultural backgrounds added an international perspective to the discussions and gave participants the opportunity to exchange experiences from their own schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
