In the 2026 call it was <b>19 February at 12:00 midday Brussels time<\/b>, for both short-term projects (KA122) and accredited projects (KA121). Some National Agencies also opened a second KA122 round, with a deadline on 1 October. The 2027 dates will be published in the Programme Guide 2027, which isn&#8217;t out yet.<\/p>\n    <p>The same dates applied to VET and adult education. They aren&#8217;t training courses for individual teachers.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"sec band-grey\" id=\"countdown-plan\">\n  <div class=\"wrap article\">\n    <h2>What should you do 12, 8, 4 and 1 weeks before the deadline?<\/h2>\n    <p>A KA122 application is scored on relevance (20 points), project design (50) and follow-up (30), and it needs at least 60 points and half of each criterion to pass (<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/2025-11\/programme-guide-2026_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Programme Guide 2026<\/a>, p. 115). That takes time. Count back from the deadline:<\/p>\n    <div class=\"tl\">\n      <div class=\"tl-step\">\n        <span class=\"tl-when\">12 weeks before<\/span>\n        <h3>Decide what the project is for<\/h3>\n        <ul>\n          <li>Check that your organisation has an <b>Organisation ID (OID)<\/b>. If it doesn&#8217;t, register in the Organisation Registration System: it&#8217;s needed before you can apply (p. 413).<\/li>\n          <li>Agree the two or three needs the project answers, with your head teacher. Everything in the application follows from them.<\/li>\n          <li>Check your limit: an organisation can receive up to three KA122 grants in any five consecutive call years (p. 114).<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n        <div class=\"ela-tip\"><b>Choosing courses already?<\/b> Shortlist courses that match those needs. Ask providers for the programme: you&#8217;ll describe the activities better, and for a course the programme can replace the learning agreement later (p. 108).<\/div>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"tl-step\">\n        <span class=\"tl-when\">8 weeks before<\/span>\n        <h3>Draft the application<\/h3>\n        <ul>\n          <li>Write the first draft of the three scored sections, starting from your needs and objectives.<\/li>\n          <li>Plan who travels, to which activity, and how you&#8217;ll choose participants in a fair and transparent way.<\/li>\n          <li>Plan the follow-up now: how colleagues will use what participants bring back. It&#8217;s 30 of the 100 points.<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n        <div class=\"ela-tip\"><b>Write it yourself.<\/b> Applicants declare that nobody external was paid to draft the application (p. 115). <a href=\"\/erasmus-application-forms#ela-guides\">Our free KA122 guide<\/a> helps you write it; it doesn&#8217;t write it for you.<\/div>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"tl-step\">\n        <span class=\"tl-when\">4 weeks before<\/span>\n        <h3>Complete the form<\/h3>\n        <ul>\n          <li>Fill in the activities and budget in the official form. A maximum of three people from the same organisation can be funded on the same course, and each person attends one course per project (p. 107).<\/li>\n          <li>Have a colleague who didn&#8217;t write it read the whole application: experts read it as one document.<\/li>\n          <li>Find out who signs the declaration on honour for your organisation (p. 414) and when they&#8217;re available.<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"tl-step last\">\n        <span class=\"tl-when\">1 week before<\/span>\n        <h3>Check and submit early<\/h3>\n        <ul>\n          <li>Final read against the award criteria. Check that the numbers match across sections.<\/li>\n          <li>Get the declaration on honour signed and submit a few days before the deadline, not at 11:55 on the day.<\/li>\n          <li>Save the submission confirmation and a PDF of the application.<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"sec why-ela\" id=\"after\">\n  <div class=\"wrap article\">\n    <h2>What happens after the deadline?<\/h2>\n    <p>For KA1 projects managed by National Agencies, the award decision and the grant agreement come, indicatively, <b>four months after the deadline<\/b> (<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/programme-guide\/part-c\/after-submission\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Programme Guide 2026<\/a>, p. 435). Round 1 projects then start between 1 June and 31 December.
