Bullying behaviors, whether in-person or online, have detrimental effects on both victims and aggressors. This course is designed to examine effective methods for preventing all types of bullying in educational settings.<\/span><\/span>
The latest edition of the course \u201cHow to Prevent Bullying and Cyberbullying in Schools and Promote Social Emotional Learning\u201d was held in Tenerife from 06\/10\/2024\u00a0 to 12\/10\/2024. Participants from across Europe attended, including Max, Kristina, and Linn from <\/span>Fenix kultur- och kunskapscentrum<\/span> in Sweden; Boglarka from <\/span>Istv\u00e1n Sz\u00e9chenyi Bilingual Secondary School of Economics<\/span> in Hungary; Marion from <\/span>BG\/BRG Carnerigasse<\/span> in Austria; Lisa and Vivien from <\/span>\u039f\u03bb\u03bf\u03ba\u03bb\u03b7\u03c1\u03c9\u03bc\u03ad\u03bd\u03bf \u03a3\u03c7\u03bf\u03bb\u03b5\u03af\u03bf \u00ab\u039c\u03c0\u03ad\u03c1\u03c4\u03bf\u03bb\u03c4 \u039c\u03c0\u03c1\u03b5\u03c7\u03c4\u00bb <\/span>in Germany; Miriam from <\/span>Istituto tecnico Carlo Bazzi <\/span>in Italy; Ellen and Anne from <\/span>R\u00f8yken vgs<\/span> in Norway, along with Angela and Daria from <\/span>Alemannenschule Wut\u00f6schingen<\/span> \u03c3\u03c4\u03b7 \u0393\u03b5\u03c1\u03bc\u03b1\u03bd\u03af\u03b1.<\/span><\/span>\u200b<\/div>\n

We kicked off with an introductory day focused on <\/span>\u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03bb\u03bb\u03b1\u03b3\u03ae \u03b9\u03b4\u03b5\u03ce\u03bd<\/span> the different types of <\/span>\u03b5\u03ba\u03c6\u03bf\u03b2\u03b9\u03c3\u03bc\u03cc\u03c2<\/span> <\/span>behaviors<\/span>. We discussed questions like: What forms can bullying take? Who are the individuals involved in a bullying scenario? What are the three main elements that distinguish bullying from conflict?<\/span><\/span>
<\/span>We then shifted our focus to the <\/span>\u03b8\u03cd\u03bc\u03b1<\/span>, exploring the risk factors that make children susceptible to bullying and ways to prevent these situations. We examined initiatives to combat bullying from four different perspectives: family, school, individual, and community.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span>One of the most challenging forms of bullying to eliminate is <\/span>cyberbullying<\/span>. Today, the internet plays a significant role in the lives of children, and while it can have negative effects, it also offers some benefits. Through practical activities, we explored the realm of cyberbullying and discussed the differences and similarities between traditional and cyberbullying. To help us empathize with the victims of bullying, we conducted a powerful activity designed to raise awareness among students, parents, and teachers alike.<\/span><\/span>

To prevent bullying behaviors, it\u2019s essential to cultivate a <\/span>\u03b8\u03b5\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03cc \u03c0\u03b5\u03c1\u03b9\u03b2\u03ac\u03bb\u03bb\u03bf\u03bd \u03c3\u03c4\u03b7\u03bd \u03c4\u03ac\u03be\u03b7<\/span>. Therefore, we focused on the concepts of emotional intelligence, belonging, <\/span>inclusion,<\/span> \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 <\/span>\u03c3\u03c5\u03bd\u03b5\u03c1\u03b3\u03b1\u03c3\u03af\u03b1<\/span>. These elements are crucial for creating a supportive classroom atmosphere and should not be overlooked. We engaged in numerous informal and creative activities and games, ensuring that everyone stayed engaged and entertained throughout the discussions.
