As teachers and education professionals, we all want our students to succeed. We want them to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will help them find their place in the world. Today\u2019s society is diverse and multicultural, more than ever before. That\u2019s why promoting diversity and tolerance in classrooms, schools, and adult education is so important. By helping learners become more empathetic and open-minded, we\u2019re not only supporting their personal growth, but also contributing to a more understanding and inclusive community around us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0397 \u03bd\u03ad\u03b1 \u03ad\u03ba\u03b4\u03bf\u03c3\u03b7 \u03c4\u03bf\u03c5 \u03bc\u03b1\u03b8\u03ae\u03bc\u03b1\u03c4\u03bf\u03c2 \u201cDiversity in the classroom: teaching tolerance and overcoming prejudices and discrimination\u201d<\/strong> \u03c0\u03c1\u03b1\u03b3\u03bc\u03b1\u03c4\u03bf\u03c0\u03bf\u03b9\u03ae\u03b8\u03b7\u03ba\u03b5 \u03c3\u03c4\u03bf \u03a4\u03b5\u03bd\u03b5\u03c1\u03af\u03c6\u03b7 <\/strong>\u03b1\u03c0\u03cc 01\/02\/2026 to 07\/02\/2026. <\/strong>Participants joined from across Europe, including\u00a0 Elita, Agita, Iluta from Straupe primary School<\/strong> in Latvia, Saed from Alma Adult Education Centre<\/strong> in Finland, Goele and\u00a0 Karen from GO! Scholengroep Brussel<\/strong> \u03c3\u03c4\u03bf \u0392\u03ad\u03bb\u03b3\u03b9\u03bf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first important step of the course was exploring the concept of identity. We started with a practical and creative activity. Each teacher was asked to draw a self-portrait. One half of the portrait showed their physical appearance, while the other half represented their personal values, beliefs, and inner qualities. This activity helped everyone reflect on who they are beyond the surface. Afterwards, we discussed how our identities shape the way we see the world and how we perceive others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
