Even today, walking in nature or observing a natural or urban landscape can inspire, challenge, or influence us. Outdoor education is an innovative teaching approach that addresses two of today\u2019s most pressing societal topics: providing high-quality, long-lasting education and raising awareness about the importance of protecting our planet amid the pressing challenges of climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u0397 \u03bd\u03ad\u03b1 \u03ad\u03ba\u03b4\u03bf\u03c3\u03b7 \u03c4\u03bf\u03c5 \u03bc\u03b1\u03b8\u03ae\u03bc\u03b1\u03c4\u03bf\u03c2 \u201c<strong>\u0395\u03ba\u03c0\u03b1\u03af\u03b4\u03b5\u03c5\u03c3\u03b7 \u03c3\u03b5 \u03b5\u03be\u03c9\u03c4\u03b5\u03c1\u03b9\u03ba\u03bf\u03cd\u03c2 \u03c7\u03ce\u03c1\u03bf\u03c5\u03c2: \u03ad\u03bd\u03b1\u03c2 \u03bd\u03ad\u03bf\u03c2 \u03c4\u03c1\u03cc\u03c0\u03bf\u03c2 \u03b4\u03b9\u03b4\u03b1\u03c3\u03ba\u03b1\u03bb\u03af\u03b1\u03c2 \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 \u03bc\u03ac\u03b8\u03b7\u03c3\u03b7\u03c2<\/strong>\u201d \u03c0\u03c1\u03b1\u03b3\u03bc\u03b1\u03c4\u03bf\u03c0\u03bf\u03b9\u03ae\u03b8\u03b7\u03ba\u03b5 \u03c3\u03c4\u03bf <strong>\u03a4\u03b5\u03bd\u03b5\u03c1\u03af\u03c6\u03b7<\/strong> \u03b1\u03c0\u03cc <strong>07\/06\/2026 <\/strong>\u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2<strong> 13\/06\/2026<\/strong>. Participants discovered that outdoor education extends far beyond natural landscapes and can also take place in urban environments. One session focused specifically on Urban Outdoor Education, demonstrating how disciplines such as science, mathematics, music, art, and languages can be taught by engaging with the immediate surroundings and everyday environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another component of the course emphasized the use of practical methodologies in outdoor spaces, including local parks and community areas. Participants took part in a range of games and experiential activities that were enthusiastically received. These experiences encouraged them not only to exchange ideas and reflections with fellow participants but also to create and adapt their own Outdoor Education initiatives. On Thursday, participants visited the Anaga rainforest for a 4.5-hour hike, where they took part in an escape room and several activities in nature. NFE places strong emphasis on learners\u2019 direct involvement in activities, allowing them to reflect on their experiences, relate new knowledge to real-life situations, and transfer their learning into meaningful practice.The concluding section of the course focused on the development of a customized outdoor learning activity for each participant\u2019s specific educational context. After examining the foundations of outdoor learning, studying the ten principles established by Kurt Hahn and their educational relevance, and engaging in a broad range of urban and nature-based activities, participants designed an outdoor lesson connected to their teaching subject. Taking into account students\u2019 ages, abilities, and learning goals, each teacher prepared a detailed learning plan, presented it to the group, and received valuable feedback.
