In today’s rapidly evolving world, education has expanded beyond the boundaries of a traditional classroom. Conventional lessons now often blend with online learning, encouraging teachers to find new ways to make education engaging, interactive, and enjoyable.
The latest edition of the course “Ανακαλύψτε τις καλύτερες εφαρμογές και τα καλύτερα εργαλεία για ηλεκτρονική μάθηση, εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευση και σχεδιασμό ιστοσελίδων” focused on these topics. This session took place in Τενερίφη από 12/10/2025 to 18/10/2025 and brought together participants from across Europe. Among them were representatives from Mímir – Símenntun in Iceland: SANDRA and ZITA; the American College of Sofia in Bulgaria: EMILIA; and EPI Aruba in the Netherlands: MARIANNE.

Throughout the course, participants examined a variety of τεχνολογικά εργαλεία and discovered ways to incorporate them into both in-person and online teaching practices. The course additionally focused on tools for gathering and sharing educational resources. Participants explored platforms that enable them to collect and enhance videos, images, texts, PDFs, and other materials, and then share them with students effortlessly. These tools are especially valuable for adding context in science lessons, supporting language learning, or motivating students to engage more actively with the content. Participants also had hands-on experience with collaborative walls, allowing every student to contribute ideas and fostering a more dynamic and comprehensive learning environment.

Interactive learning was a key focus of the course. Participants explored how διαδραστικές παρουσιάσεις can turn a lesson into a dynamic, two-way experience, enabling teachers to gather immediate feedback through polls, word clouds, and live questions. These tools were shown to be highly effective in engaging students and encouraging even the more reserved ones to participate in discussions. The course also emphasized the AI-powered features of many of these tools, demonstrating how artificial intelligence can help teachers design engaging content, offer instant feedback, and tailor learning experiences to meet the diverse needs of their students.

Participants also gained hands-on experience in creating video lessons, which are particularly effective for explaining complex concepts step by step and can easily be reused as revision materials. They explored online quizzes as well, a fun and interactive way to assess knowledge, track progress, and keep students motivated. Through these activities, educators saw firsthand how technology can make lessons more engaging, dynamic, and tailored to students’ needs. Additionally, they learned how to design and customize their own websites, including adding pages, blogs, or portfolios—powerful tools that enhance both online and in-person teaching.

By the end of the course, participants left Tenerife equipped with new knowledge, practical skills, and a toolkit of digital resources ready to implement in their classrooms. They gained confidence in using technology to promote creativity, engagement, and focus, transforming learning into an interactive and enjoyable experience for students, whether online or face-to-face.
