As the world becomes more interconnected, the ability to communicate in multiple languages is increasingly valuable in the education sector. Spanish, being the second most widely spoken language in the world by native speakers, is not only a tool for personal growth but also a bridge for building intercultural relationships. This training course was designed to respond to the growing need for education staff to develop basic Spanish skills, enabling them to engage more effectively in international mobility, Erasmus+ projects, intercultural exchanges, and professional collaboration with Spanish-speaking countries.<\/span><\/span>

\u200bOur course \u201cIntensive Spanish Language Course for education staff\u200b\u201d took place in Tenerife from <\/span>24\/08\/2025 till 30\/08\/2025, welcoming a group of education professionals of different organisations from four different countries. Our participants were Elena from<\/span> IISS Antonio Pesenti<\/span> in Italy, Carlos from <\/span>Agrupamento de Escolas de Arraiolos<\/span> in Portugal, Elisabetta from <\/span>Liceo classico e linguistico Romagnosi<\/span> in Italy, Claudia from<\/span> IC Ai Campi Elisi-Trieste<\/span> in Italy, Kristina from <\/span>Klaip\u0117da Gedminai progymnasium<\/span> in Lithuania, Alain from<\/span> Lyc\u00e9e La R\u00e9ole<\/span> in France, Maria and Lucia from <\/span>IIS A. Lombardi<\/span> in Italy, and Maria Grazia, Sonia and Giovanna from <\/span>Istituto Comprensivo “ISOLE EOLIE”<\/span> in Italien.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

To foster group cohesion and create a comfortable learning environment, the course began with introductory activities where participants learned how to greet each other, introduce themselves, and exchange basic personal information. Using <\/span>verbal tenses<\/span> in Spanish, participants practiced speaking skills. This set the foundation for the week\u2019s grammar and vocabulary progression.<\/span><\/span>

\u200bThroughout the course, a strong emphasis was placed on interactive learning, integrating speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in every session. The gradual introduction of tenses\u2014present, past, and future\u2014ensured learners developed a solid grammatical foundation while staying motivated with relevant and engaging topics.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\u200bBy following this five-day plan, students can <\/span>effectively improve their Spanish language skills <\/span>in a structured, engaging, and practical manner. The plan ensures structured <\/span>progression<\/span>, with each day building on the previous one to reinforce and expand the language skills learned. <\/span>Practical application <\/span>is emphasised through activities like introducing oneself, discussing daily routines, travels, which provide <\/span>real-life contexts <\/span>for language use. <\/span>Skill integration<\/span> is another key benefit, as combining speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities ensures <\/span>well-rounded language development<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
