With this goal in mind, educators from across Europe and beyond gathered in Bologna for the Erasmus+ course <strong>&#8220;<\/strong>Artificial Intelligence Course for Teachers: Advanced Tools and Apps,&#8221;<strong> <\/strong>held from<strong> <\/strong>21 to 27 June 2026<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The course brought together H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Szaloki-Guerrand from <em>Coll\u00e8ge La Providence<\/em> (France), Edna Akpe<strong> <\/strong>von <em>St. Stephen&#8217;s and St. Agnes School<\/em> (USA),<strong> <\/strong>No\u00e9mi Moln\u00e1rov\u00e1<strong> <\/strong>von <em>S\u00fakromn\u00e1 SO\u0160 automobilov\u00e1 Dualna akad\u00e9mia<\/em> (Slovakia), Andreas Schliephake from <em>Parit\u00e4tisches Bildungswerk<\/em> (Germany), Vasiliki Mitsi from <em>3rd Junior High School of Argostoli<\/em> (Greece), Olga Maria Oliveira<strong> <\/strong>Viegas Concei\u00e7\u00e3o and Ana Paula dos Santos Figueiredo<strong> <\/strong>von <em>Centro Qualifica do Agrupamento de Escolas de Anadia<\/em> (Portugal), Mar\u00eda Isabel Mu\u00f1oz Fern\u00e1ndez from <em>Centro del Profesorado de Ronda<\/em> (Spain), and Doris Erber and Christine Pichler from <em>HLW Feldbach<\/em> (Austria). Participants reflected on the opportunities and challenges AI presents for teachers and students before exploring the growing range of educational AI solutions available today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following sessions focused on <strong>developing practical skills<\/strong>. Participants examined the capabilities and limitations of large language models, learned advanced prompting techniques, and experimented with different approaches through hands-on activities. They also explored <strong>advanced AI applications for educators<\/strong>, discovered how simple AI-assisted web applications can be created, and discussed how AI can support research and independent learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later in the week, attention shifted to <strong>creating high-quality teaching resources<\/strong>. Participants learned how AI can assist in producing presentations, booklets, visual materials, and multimedia content, while also exploring ways to personalise lessons and learning activities. The course also addressed AI-supported assessment, highlighting innovative approaches to both formative and summative evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An important part of the programme was dedicated to the <strong>ethical<\/strong> <strong>and responsible use of AI<\/strong>. Participants examined the European guidelines, discussed potential risks and limitations, and reflected on the importance of using AI critically and transparently in educational settings.
