Jednou z nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edch v\u00fdzev pro u\u010ditele je jednak pomoci \u017e\u00e1k\u016fm p\u0159izp\u016fsobit se nov\u00e9mu kulturn\u00edmu prost\u0159ed\u00ed, a jednak b\u00fdt vzorem kritick\u00e9ho a otev\u0159en\u00e9ho my\u0161len\u00ed, kter\u00e9 rozmanitost oce\u0148uje a oslavuje, m\u00edsto aby ji odm\u00edtalo.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new edition of the course \u201cIntercultural learning and cultural diversity in the classroom\u200b\u201d took place in Palermo from 19\/07\/2026 to 25\/07\/2026. The participants came from all across Europe, with Hanna and Dorota from Szko\u0142a Podstawowa im. Kr\u00f3lowej Jadwigi w Jerzykowie, Poland ; Laura from Ammattiopisto Spesia, Finland ; Sanita from R\u012bga Stradi\u0146\u0161 University, Latvia ; Marisa and Luis from Centro Concertado Fundaci\u00f3n Flors, Spain ; Christina from Gymnasieskolan Vipan, Sweden ; Sanna from Hyryl\u00e4n yl\u00e4aste, Finland ; Emese from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary ; Soledad from Escola Oficial d&#8217;idiomes de Palma de Mallorca, Spain ; and finally, Cristina from Institut Bellvitge, Spain.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The course started with acknowledging the importance of the concept of identity as a first step to go deep into diversity. From a visual activity, our participants thought about their own identity and the relation that identity has with culture. This allows the group to debate and to discover the theory of cultural intelligence to build an understanding of what \u201cintercultural learning&#8221; means to them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, participants engaged in a storytelling exercise about stereotypes. Altogether we discovered the meaning of the <strong>za\u010darovan\u00fd kruh stereotyp\u016f<\/strong>. They were invited to reflect about how stereotypes can convert into prejudices and discrimination, generating a vicious cycle that strengthens stereotypes. As put in an inspirational TED Talk we saw &#8211; <strong><em>\u201cUka\u017ete lidem n\u011bco jako jedinou v\u011bc \u2013 jako jedinou v\u011bc \u2013 znovu a znovu, a pr\u00e1v\u011b t\u00edm se stanou.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The last topic we worked on was <strong>inkluze<\/strong>. First, participants have been involved in simulation activities to acknowledge and discuss about the challenges of<strong> mezikulturn\u00ed komunikace<\/strong>. The activities can help students questioning common assumptions while thinking about finding connections among different cultures. Another round of group activities was performed around the concept of <strong>\u010dlenstv\u00ed a empatie<\/strong>. Participants got involved into some activities to become more aware of <strong>jak kultury ovliv\u0148uj\u00ed v\u00fduku<\/strong> a <strong>styly u\u010den\u00ed<\/strong>.
