This concept was a key focus during the latest edition of the course “AI in Education: Transforming Teaching and Learning,” held in Tenerife from November 10 to November 16, 2024. Participants looked into AI-powered tools that can aid teaching, including intelligent tutoring systems, automated grading software, and adaptive learning platforms.
One of the main topics was the significance of prompting when using ChatGPT. Effective prompting can greatly affect the quality of responses generated by the AI, making it an essential skill for educators. Participants practiced developing clear and contextually relevant prompts to maximize ChatGPT’s effectiveness in the classroom.

Another important topic addressed was the ethical implications of AI in education, including issues such as algorithmic bias, privacy concerns, and the need for clear policies governing AI usage. The course also focused on integrating ICT tools with AI features, highlighting those that foster collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking in students. Participants were encouraged to investigate various ICT applications and consider how AI capabilities could enhance these tools to improve learning outcomes.
