Last January, 36 educators from Latvia, Estonia, Spain, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Malta, Slovenia and Finland spent five days together in Bologna for the first ELA Days. In April a second group followed, this time working on new technologies and artificial intelligence. Today we are opening two new editions: AI & New Technologies in Palermo (23–27 November 2026) and Inclusive Education in Bologna (25–29 January 2027).
What are the ELA Days?
The ELA Days (ELA Educational Days) are our 5-day Erasmus+ courses for teachers and education staff. Each edition focuses on one theme and runs only once per school year. Compared with our regular courses, they bring together a larger European group and add three things you won’t find elsewhere in our catalogue:
- Sessions split by your sector. Preschool, primary, secondary and adult education each have their own track, so the examples and activities match the learners you actually teach.
- Study visits. A full morning inside local schools and education centres, divided by sector, talking with the teachers and school leaders who run them.
- Networking built into the course. A networking dinner on Monday, a networking lunch on Friday, two guided walking tours and a closing session on European cooperation.
The format is short on purpose: five days, with training in the morning and free afternoons, so it fits more easily into the school calendar.
AI & New Technologies — Palermo, 23–27 November 2026
Five days on artificial intelligence and digital tools for teaching. You start from the basics — how AI works, where it helps and where it doesn’t, how to write good prompts — and move on to practical labs adapted to your educational level: AI for lesson planning, content creation and differentiation, digital tools for engagement, collaboration and formative assessment. On the fourth day you visit local schools and education centres to see how they use technology every day.
This edition is limited to 20 participants. The early-bird rate is available until 9 October 2026, and registration closes on 9 November.

Inclusive Education — Bologna, 25–29 January 2027
The edition that started it all is back. Italy has brought all learners into mainstream classrooms for nearly 50 years: in Bologna you see how that works in practice, what is still hard, and what you can adapt to your own school. The course combines the principles of inclusive education, workshops on cooperative learning and differentiated instruction, a morning of study visits divided by level, and a day of talks with special-needs teachers, inclusion specialists and educators from adult education and social inclusion centres.
This edition is limited to 30 participants. The early-bird rate is available until 26 November 2026, and registration closes on 11 January 2027.

What participants said
“Thank you for the opportunity to get a glimpse into teachers’ daily work! Openness, warmth, and a unified approach to inclusive education.”
On the last day of the first edition we asked everyone to complete one sentence: “One thing I am taking from today is…”. Among the answers: “the human approach of the Italian inclusive education model”, “energy from the group” and “focus on the potential, not on the obstacles”.
Erasmus+ funding and how to join
Both editions are designed to be fully fundable with an Erasmus+ KA1 grant. Erasmus Learning Academy holds an Erasmus+ accreditation and is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education, and we prepare every document your National Agency needs: invitation letter, programme, Partnership Agreement and an Erasmus+ compliant certificate.
Pre-registration takes two minutes and costs nothing: it holds your place while your school confirms. Places are limited in both editions, so if you’re interested, it’s best not to wait.
P.S. Palermo has only 20 places, and the early-bird rate ends on 9 October. Hold your place in Palermo →
